Principle
- The laser beam penetrates the upper transparent joining material
- The laser is completely absorbed in absorber material.
- The absorptive material starts to melt at its surface.
- The upper transparent joining material and absorber material are joined together under pressure.

Suitability of materials
Requirements
- The two components must be thermoplastic and chemically equal or very similar, otherwise, the adhesion is merely based on indenting of the components.
- The transparent material can be milky(glass fiber reinforced). The scattering of the laser light does not make the welding process impossible.
- The transparent material can contain special pigments.
- Reliable and reproducible results are only produced with exact temperature control.
Control
- Compare 10,000 times per second the set-point temperature with measured temperature and control heat source(Laser, Inductor)
- Store up to 255 process scripts
- Ok/Not ok decision during process with creation of an error signal
- Write process scripts by simple programming language.

Suitability of materials
